| I haven't posted to my Xanga for a long time, but now there's something I HAD to post!!! About a month ago, Faser, Ray, and I planned a trip to LA to visit Kristy and her roommate Dupe for Dupe's birthday. Then, we found out about a week later that the Harold and Kumar sequel was premiering in SF at the Asian American Film Festival during the same weekend we were going to LA! If anyone should be at the premiere, it should be me!!! Well, on Friday, I was heading for the security line so to get on the flight, and who do I see!?!? John CHO!!! Harold, in the flesh... So, sadly, Ray, Faser, and I kinda followed him for awhile, and eventually I bugged him for a picture...
So, no regrets at all about the weekend. We had a great time, and we were glad to be able to give Dupe a good surprise. She literally screamed when we jumped out to surprise her. I think Dupe has better pictures, but here are a couple pictures of Kristy and Dupe, and me and the boys.

| The trip has been over for awhile now, and my summer vacation is slowly winding down. I start work on Monday... Uh oh... But here's my final post about the baseball trip, so I can try to relive it for a little while longer until I join the workforce. August 28 -- Dodgers v. Nationals (in LA)
While we were in Redlands, we stayed with Jen's family, where we ate some of the best (and most) Korean food ever... We also spent some time bowling, where my victory over Jen's mom (who was talking a lot of smack) almost led her to withhold food from me. Next time I'll be smarter...
We were also able to meet up with Cyrus and Eliot (two of our fellow future lawyers) in downtown LA before the game...
I hate the Dodgers, but I do kinda like the "Think Blue" sign out in the hills outside Dodger Stadium.
I may be a little biased but I think Dodger Stadium was either the ugliest or second ugliest stadium on the whole tour. Yankee Stadium, though, has an excuse since they're building a new stadium as we speak. Dodger Stadium, on the other hand, isn't going anywhere, so they go to the bottom of the list...
I got booed RELENTLESSLY in the left field bleachers (cuz I had my Giants jersey on). Luckily, the bleachers are an alcohol-free section, or else I would have probably had beer thrown on me. However, that doesn't mean there weren't PLENTY of drunk Dodger fans in the stands... (Unfortunately, the Dodgers won this game.) August 29 -- Giants v. Rockies (in SF)
The view from our seats... What a BEAUTIFUL park and a BEAUTIFUL day!!!
We sat in the Arcade for the first time ever... The bald guy is our friend John, also from law school, who flew out from South Dakota to meet us in California.
We sat right next to wear the chickens go! When Barry bats, a Giants employee (this guy) runs over to our section ready with a chicken!!! It was awesome!
Lindsay and Jen racing down the Coke slide... I think it was a tie. Too bad the Giants game wasn't as close (they lost 8-0 to end our trip).
We did a lot of sightseeing in SF, but the most important thing to my friends was that we find the Full House house!
We all went to eat at my restaurant on the last night of our trip... Lots and Lots and Lots of Thai food!!!
| Haven't posted for awhile... The end of the trip was quite hectic, especially the drive from LA to SF after the evening Dodgers game, and getting back at 5am before the 12:35 Giants game. August 25 -- A LONG drive from Texas to Arizona...
We drove through a really crazy storm in the middle of Texas... but this picture turned out pretty cool
Obviously I had to take a picture outside of this "Oriental-American" restaurant.
A nice rattlesnake warning at a New Mexico rest stop. That makes using the restroom quite comforting. August 26 -- Cubs v. Diamondbacks in Arizona
Chase Field is really nice, especially from the outside...
Arizona as REALLY hot... and I was more than a little jealous that I couldn't join the pool party in right field. We sat out in right field, where there were probably more Cubs fans than Diamondbacks fans during the game! Unfortunately, the Cubs lost.... August 27 -- Diamondbacks v. Padres in San Diego Petco Park was also really really nice... probably my second favorite park on the trip. I especially love the old Western Metal Supply Co. building they kept around and use as the LF foul pole. The parties up there looked like a lot of fun too...
Also, this was the first game (out of 3) that Lindsay joined us for, since she just got back from Japan/China.
They have this cool beach section in right-center field where parents can leave their kids playing in the sand while they watch the game. A very nice San Diego touch. It's also awesome that they have fish tacos in the stadium, even if they do cost $3.50 and are just Rubio's fish tacos...
The Padres' "Swinging Friar" was supposed to show up to take some pictures near our section during the 2nd inning but he NEVER SHOWED UP!!! I realize he's a man of God, but I had to give him a mini-asswhooping...
The whole stadium gets CRAZY when Trevor Hoffman runs in from the bullpen. Through the both the Arizona and San Diego games, I wasn't able to get Conor Jackson's autograph on my Berkeley shirt, but the game was lifted when Cal's own Geoff Blum hit a HR to give the Padres the lead, and Hoffman closed the game out...
| One more note about St. Louis. The fans are hostile and the city is not the safest around... I was wearing my bright blue Cubs shirt at the Cardinals game (in support of Jim, who conveniently was wearing a very incognito black Cubs shirt and brown Cubs hat), and all over the stadium I had fans yelling things like "Go Back to Chicago!" and "Cubs Suck" or "You Suck!" So much hate all over, except for one random fan in the bathroom that told me my shirt was awesome... Later that night, we went to a bar and right next to us was that same Cubs fan!!! After the bar, we took Jenner to White Castle for the first time. He hadn't drunk that much that night, but all of a sudden he was a giddy, giggling little girl... Once he had destroyed his four mini burgers in about 30 seconds in the car, he DEMANDED to go back, even though there were a lot of "unsavory characters" outside the White Castle -- "I'll just buy them all White Castle and they'll be my homies..." Hmmm....
Christian inside White Castle... (He has requested that I remove the picture of him looking like he was crying after his White Castle ran out...) The game in Texas was a lot of fun too... Had some AWESOME BBQ before the game, and Matt (another one of our law school buddies) got to join us for the game too...
The four of us in our seats... We're in Arizona now, after a LONG LONG LONG drive through the rest of Texas and New Mexico... We had some more good BBQ in El Paso, so thank you to everyone we talked to who recommended both Salt Lick and Rudy's for good Texas BBQ. Today: Diamondbacks v. Cubs (cheer for the Cubs, although I'm going to try to get an autograph from Cal's own Conor Jackson on the Diamondbacks) Next Stop: After the game, we head to Redlands... (BACK TO CALIFORNIA!!! WOOHOO!!)
